Thursday Darts, Week 15 (final week)

Final Score: Da Geeks 2, Ship Faced 5. Kim, Ruben, and Steve showed up to see the Lakers win and beat us.


We sucked bad, and they were on! Nothing special happened, we tried but after we would close a number to get the lead, they would come back with a friggin' triple.


The Honor Roll had Marvin and Rodman with a 3x2.

Thursday Darts, Week 14

Final Score: Da Geeks 4, Here for the Beer 3. Julien, Justin, and Gail showed up at The Olde Ship to a crowded dart area due to Santa Ana's finest, active and retired. They didn't get in the way, that much.


We were OK, I faltered, but we did throw some solid darts in the team game, leading at one time over 300 points!


I did have one good moment in the doubles by hitting 6 16's when it was needed. We won the game as Mr. Bullbuster, Rodman, hit a 5x3!


The Honor Roll had Rodman with a 3x3 and a 5x3. Justin had a 3x2

Thursday Darts, Week 13

Final Score: Da Geeks 6, Twitchers 1. Mike, Bob, and Jim showed up to a bar full of people watching hockey and baseball to challenge us. Thom showed up and stepped in for Jim in game 5.


Marvin brought his $1.95 ea "house darts" and shot fairly well with them. He said that the thicker barrels were easier to grip.


Rodman was on. In fact he was the designated cork shooter in the team games tonight.


I shot OK, except for the 7 I threw in the team game, but at least I won my singles match.


The Honor Roll had Marv and Rodman with two 3x2's each. Mike had a 4x2 for the other team.

Thursday Darts, Week 12 (makeup on 4-10-11)

Final Score: Da Geeks 3, Luck Dogs 4. The cheapskates Gilbert (Blind), Ellis (not to sure about him) and Dave (their best player) showed up at Centerfield's Sports Bar & Grill then came their better(?) halves. As long as the entourage wasn't taking a drink and then loudly expressing the like/dislike of it when you are drawing back to take aim, it wasn't to bad. (Yes Marv, I noticed).


Rodman was on as usual easily winning his singles. No bulls though to add to his current bull-buster lead of 39 to the second place at 24. See for yourself!


Marv was not on today and I am not sure why. Lots of "wires" but he was having problems connecting.


I shot fairly well until the team game where all of us sucked. I shot my singles against Ellis and he has been practicing his bulls, along with the rest of the team. The first game he shot the heck out of bulls and he has improved on trying to secure a number so he could make up points rather than close, The second game I came out consistent and this is what it looked like into the game,,,,,

The arrow is incorrect, should be pointing to the left. This big Geek took the first one!

 Well the game continued and I faltered a little bit then Mr. Double Bull took off and I had to start pointing on him, trying to connect my darts to the cork. They would group on the outside of the single bull wire, not one or two, but all dang three of them! I finally won the game though....

Tuesday Darts, Week 12

Final Score: Da Geeks 2, Down & Outers 5. Bob and Scott showed up to a very packed Olde Ship due to it being pub trivia night. Oh yeah, Jeremy was there to take up space and suck all the air out of the room.

WE SUCK! that's it, bottom line, we suck. Bob demolished me and I never really recovered. Scott almost lost against Marv, but he is such an arse hole that he did get lucky win. I threw massive amounts of 20's score and a dang 2, not good at all. I did get a little better once the night wore on.

The Honor Roll had Marv with a Ton-20. Bob had a Round of Nine's with a 18-17-16. Scott got lucky again and got a Ton-10.

Thursday Darts, Week 11

Final Score: Da Geeks 456, Miller Misters 987. Big Bird, Dan, and What's Up Chuck? showed up at the ship riding bicycles.

The match was going well until the aliens landed then things got real strange. One of the Aliens took over bar tending and gave everyone a drink that turned them into albinos, but it wore off after 10 minutes. After it wore off it made you remove all your clothes and stand on the bar signing "I'm a Little Teacup".

Darts were fun until the car crashed into the side of the bar, wiping out a large party near the fireplace. That was a good thing as the fire department were all girls in yoga pants. Nevertheless, propping the dart bar on one of the corpses was pretty cool.

The Honor Roll had Elvis with Blue Suede Shoes and Richard Nixon with the I'm not a Crook award.

April Fools!!!

Final Score: Da Geeks 3, Bud Guys 4. Ernie, Don, and Chuck showed up out of order but they did show up.

The other team showed up but Da Geeks left their darts somewhere else. Our singles sucked, but we were able to salvage the night by our doubles matches, I even won one of the matches by hitting the last bull for the out.

The Honor Roll had Rodman with a 3x2 while Erine had a 3x3 and Don had a 4x2.
